Mrs. Clarissa Griner To All Instructors



Hi, my name is Clarissa Griner, my nickname is Clair, and you can call me whichever name you feel most comfortable with. I’m originally from North Carolina. The best way that I can describe myself is a passionate, creative, hilarious, Christian food nerd! I thoroughly enjoy learning and spreading the wealth of knowledge to others especially when it relates to creativity and food.
I find food absolutely fascinating - not only for its nutritious purposes, but because it also has this magical influence that can break down barriers and open channels of communication, shape history, allow creativity to blossom and yet also become a delightfully edible scientific experiment!
I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality Management, with a Minor Business Administration. I was also ServSafe Certified and I have earned several other certifications in subjects such as Frosting, Gumpaste, Fondant, and Chocolate Candies.
I have worked for several restaurants in various positions ranging from Hostess to Cook to  Manager, and Traveling Trainer/Recruiter. In Fayetteville, NC, I owned and operated my own at-home bakery business and partnered with multiple local businesses. This allowed me to sell in multiple stores and cater several events. I also used to teach classes to children of various age groups regarding food safety and how to make fun snacks.
Currently, along with homeschooling, children's activities, church activities and other life responsibilities, I am an Allergy Aware Cottage Baker.
